They mean the extras you get through 10C are limited, I am sure the vinyl will be the same when it;s out in stores, just without all the extra stuff.

from what i can tell the limited thing you are getting is the 7"... but who knows? it may be a limited #'d version? it could have a different jacket?

but from reading their description the bouns thing is the 7"... which is cool! but that doesnt make it a $400 benny hall vinyl...

Well depends I guess if you want the limited edition version as a collector - off to ebay you go. You just want to hear Into the Wild on vinyl you are all set......though I'm going to guess that 90% of people that get shut out of this sale will not be going to their local record store to pick it up......

I got my benny at home so I'm all set......

I have to agree with this... the description leads us to think that the only bonus is the 7" which is great but definitely not anything similar to Benaroya...

The store version will be the same but without the bonus 7" (that's my take on it) and that will be available Feb 29th so no need to pay crazy prices on Ebay for those of you who didnt get one...

But nowhere does it say the actual vinyl will be different, as far as I understand on the 10C announcement the vinyl is the same, no special packaging, no special color. The only difference is the 7" bonus ... and I'm sure the 7" on its own will show up on Ebay ...people will have a chance to get the LP in stores

It didn't mention anything about packaging or colour of the CD for the Avocado Pre-Sale either. In fact the only thing it did state was the bonus bootleg of the Academy show.

    It's sounding quite familiar :)

I think this presale may be for a different version all together, different cover art and high-grade audiophile vinyl, to boot. Hence the "This very special and very limited vinyl release will be available only at pearljam.com" part.

I wouldn't be surprised if the retail version has the cover art like the CD release. And not on high-grade vinyl.

Just my guess - for all those who missed out, I hope I'm wrong.

I was looking around to see if I could find more information about this and it seems like this version was the one sent with the "for your considerations packages" I saw someone had it for auction since Friday and he describes the record and the 45 that he has with it with No More on the A and B side...

You might be right and that would be awesome... because I was thinking the only bonus would the 7", getting a different version than the street version would be great! :)

Seriously though, I agree 100% with what you're saying. This Ltd Edition will be VERY special indeed, and even if it isn't, the "No More" single will make this purchase worth it's while

Ok so there is a couple of people that have this thing for sale on EBay, and on both listings I see they mention "+ Press Kit" (referring to the booklet) though I think this is just the lyric book with the liner notes the annoucement mentions ... I think this one only comes with the 10C version... the 2 people that have it listed already have pictures but they claim to have gotten it from the "for your consideration packages" for the Golden Globes one of them has the 45 and he has it listed as No More Studio version and Live Holland - Summer 2007...

So I think this may be the same as the 10C version... it might be different than the street version but I dont think it's colored.... they dont mention anything about it being colored and I might be mistaken but they seem to be the same as the limited edition the 10C sold today.

    Same :)

I'm guessing that the extended version of "The Wolf" is the awesome version from the movie

    :)
Would've been cool if the 'alternate' version of "Hard Sun" from the movie was included as well.

I loved the different versions of the songs in the movie :)

I did not buy Into the Wild from the 10c today to listen to but I also did not buy it as an investment.....I need it to complete my PJ vinyl collection that I will never part with (I also am missing the record rearviewmirror on LP if anyone wants to look at my post to trade for Vegas Ames poster 2006, I believe they cost the same, $20?)

That's the only one I'm missing too :(
Unfortunately the prices that people want for this album (RVM) is ridiculous ($100+) :(

What's funny is, I only bought it on LP. I was never interested in the CD for some reason, and I hesitated buying the LP for a long time it seemed, but in the end, I decided I had better at least buy the LP while the 10C still had them, or I would regret it.
