As best I can, more or less in order...I did add a few solo artists.
as much as I like the other three big Seattle band + other grunge bands,
they're nowhere near my top 12. Pearl Jam filled that spot/sound.
My list:
1: Pearl Jam
2: Radiohead
3: Faith No More
4: Led Zeppelin
5: Mr. Bungle/Mike Patton's side projects
6: Soul Coughing
7: Beastie Boys
8: The Who
9: The Beatles
10: Queens of the Stone Age
11: Rage Against The Machine
12: The Shins or Modest Mouse
all pretty much have different sound/style.
*the top three changing all the time with PJ usually on top*
List is excluding solo bands like Bruce & E Street/Neil & Crazy Horse/Beck ect...

Mastodon will forever be cool in my eyes thanks to their contribution to the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie. That scene stands (and probably will forever) as the most I have ever laughed in a movie theater. I still crack up when I watch the DVD
