7 on your list are so similar.
as much as I like the other three big Seattle band + other grunge bands,
they're nowhere near my top 12. Pearl Jam filled that spot/sound.

    My list:
    1: Pearl Jam
    2: Radiohead
    3: Faith No More
    4: Led Zeppelin
    5: Mr. Bungle/Mike Patton's side projects
    6: Soul Coughing
    7: Beastie Boys
    8: The Who
    9: The Beatles
10: Queens of the Stone Age
    11: Rage Against The Machine
12: The Shins or Modest Mouse
all pretty much have different sound/style.
*the top three changing all the time with PJ usually on top*

List is excluding solo bands like Bruce & E Street/Neil & Crazy Horse/Beck ect...

Just in the last few months I have decided that I would rather listen to a few newer bands than older bands. My list would have been so much different awhile back.
