I think they've waited long enough for me to be ready for another one :)

I haven't heard any of it yet (leaked?), but just reading the tracklisting, I can hear the choruses in my head. Curious to see how close I am :D

They need to put the word "Rock" into more of their song titles.

Sweet vindication! Last year in this column, AC/DC singer Brian Johnson promised that they'd tour in 2008. Well, he wasn't kidding. Soon they'll begin rehearsals in a secret location, before hitting U.S. arenas in late fall. We heard this news at the Sony HQ on New York's Madison Avenue, before hearing all 15 tracks of the band's earthshaking new Black Ice, recorded in Vancouver in just eight weeks with Brendan O'Brien. On it, Brian wails about skies on fire, blood in his eyes, storms raging, lightning flashes, hard rain and pretty women. Angus Young shreds throughout (we dig his slide work on "Decibel"), and the rhythm cats - Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams and Phil Rudd - are solid as a rock. The first single is "Rock'N Roll Train"; "She likes Rock'n Roll" will be a stripper anthem; and "War Machine" (our favorite) will tear you to pieces.

I've been a big fan since 1980, and am really looking forward to this. Hopefully, 2008 will be the year that both AC/DC and Metallica return to form.

AC/DC is fun in small doses.... 15 tracks seems like about 6 too many.

You get what you pay for with AC/DC. Saw them about 12 years ago...great, fun rock show.

They've made the same album for the past 20 some years. I'm not saying that as a bad thing...it's just their niche and they profit well from their base.

Looks like it's time to put on a "wife-beater" and shave yourself a mullet! Can't wait to stand in front of the stage in some arena with all the "Rock Fans", raising the "Devil Horns" up in the air and nodding away for 2 hours like there's no 2morrow!!!
  • While I'm looking forward to this album, I'm disappointed that the band would sell-out to Walmart, who will have exclusive retail rights to the album. So if you want the album, you'll have to buy it at Walmart (or Sam's Club).

Or order it directly from the band's website. Or order an import version.

    (or Sam's Club)

Does this mean you have to buy the album in bulk?

    Brilliant marketing!

Here, here it's ALL about the money honey besides they're nearing retirement so they must think of their future come on people. I waited on these guys after a show which I attended in Hampton, Va on either *Flick of the Switch* or *Fly On the Wall* World Tour can't recall to much memories get blurry.

Anyway Phil, Brian Cliff road crew about 20 all came in except Angus 3am at My Denny's to eat. They left a very nice tip and a boatload of tour stuff I just found last week getting ready for a yard sale.

    Make that money honey.

if you don't like ACDC, don't buy the album, please. you can talk crap about mullets, Walmart, whatever else you want. but ACDC has never minced words about what they are......a rock band. a singer, drums, bass, 2 guitars. that's all you need. Angus/Malcolm are without any doubt in the top 5 lead/rhythm duos of alltime.

    Alright, I can’t resist.

    I’m a smartass. And a trouble-maker.

Maybe the cd at Wal-mart will decrease the number of African Americans that wear AC/DC shirts. ………or increase them. Who the fuck knows. It’ll be interesting to watch the developments.

Thanks for pointing this out I missed this thread last year but AC/DC is a popular band worldwide among all people. We'll see what this album will be like if it's worth the 7-8 years since they last released a studio album.
