The Game - LAX

Anybody got the new Game album? LAX came out about 2 days ago.
There's only 4 bad tracks(out of 19) on it in my opinion (Intro, Outro, Cali Sunshine and Touchdown). "Touchdown" sucks, sounds like a Snoop/Pharrell love song (LOL). The rest are pretty damn good though.

I really dig "House of Pain," "Bulletproof Dairies," "My Life," "State of Emergency." The best track is "Let Us Live", it reminds me of old school Nas a lot- mainly The Message from It Was Written. He also have a track with Nas on "Letter to the King" which is alright, guess it hasn't kicked into me yet.

Not sure why I never gave The Game a chance before, but man, he's pretty good. Gotta grab his previous 2 LPs now, and maybe some of his mixtapes as well.

Best rap album since Late Registration? I think it is...

I'm a big fan of Doctors Advocate. I haven't heard the new one yet though.
Game is one of the best right now that actually talk about real things. Lil Wayne is still probably my favorite rapper that is still rapping. Kanye is not too bad either. Download some Game mixtapes..they are pretty badass.

It's only a matter of time before the people who only listen to PJ, STP, and AIC come in and say that hip hop and rap sucks.

Yeah, I was kinda biased against his music due to the whole 50 Cent beef thing I guess never gave him a chance. It's a good thing, he's relatively new so I can listen to his discography thoroughly.

PS. Jellyroll - check your PM ;)

I just picked this up and listened to it for a few days. The only song I've liked so far is the one w/ NaS. :o

I think it's easily the worst of the 3. I'm a fan of the Documentary, that was solid from top to bottom.

Too many cheesy R&B hooks that annoy me on this one.

The only ones I didn't liked were Touchdown and Cali Sunshine off the bat. LAX Files is kinda cheesy too.

Let Us Live and House of Pain are really good.

After a few more listen, I'll have to downgrade this album. Definitely not a classic, it's a bit above average but it's not gonna be talked about 5-10 years from now.

LAX is ridiculous. All The Game does is name drop other rappers. Here is a full list I found online of the hip-hop references :p Yes Jayceon, we get it, you love hip-hop. Now write some actual lyrics of your own instead of saying shit like "I was the only compton nigga with a "New York State of Mind".
