I'll give him credit for being a pretty damn good acoustic guitarist but that's it!
He can't make good music of his own so he likes to ruin other artists' songs, especially catchy pop tunes.
Veneer is pretty shitty with exception to the cover of The Knife's Heartbeats. Jose's version and The Knife's version
Here he ruined a classic dance tune by Kylie Minouge.
Jose's version of Hand on Your Heart. Kylie's original was a great dance tune.
Not a pop song but here he ruins a classic Joy Division song. Jose's version of LWTU
...However, I do want to think him for exposing The Knife to me last year though. Deep Cuts is one of my favorite albums ever! Jose please stop ruining other artists' song and write yourself a good one. Thanks!
