Once "The Movie"

edited January 2008 in Other Music
I just saw the movie "Once" with Glen Hasard (from the Frames)...WOW it was a fantastic film.

Glen and his co-star (forgot her name but she is incredibly talented as well), had chemistry and sing together on most of the songs in the movie.

Its really fantastic. I hope people get the chance to (or have already seen) view this film. In a time when there is such crap to see in the theatres and to listen to on the radio/cd's, it is so important to get the word out regarding incredibly talented people.

Cheers,
Adam

Really good movie. The music is beautiful. I ended up picking up the Once soundtrack, Glen and Marketa's "Swell Season" album, and a Frames CD after seeing Once. Great stuff.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.
  • I agree. I loved this movie. When it ended I was sad that my relationship with them was over. Really well done.

Beautiful film! Just watched it last wed and ordered a copy of the movie and soundtrack the next day. Thanks for the heads up on the Frames music. I'm thinking of picking it up too.

I picked this up a few day's ago at HMV. CD/DVD combo for $29.99 CDN. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj29/demetriosns/once.jpg The movie & soundtrack was great. The ending scene w/ that sad song playing was very emotional. :(

  • the movie bored me, but afterwards the songs were stuck in my head and I actually gave some thought to the film and ended up loving it...a very unique and rare love/relationship story. The soundtrack is hit and miss, I think...but Falling Slowly, Say it to Me, If You Want Me, and (especially) When Your Mind's Made Up are uncommonly awesome.

Beautiful film! I rented the movie one night and then two days later I ended up buying the CD/DVD combo, plus the latest Frames album.
