  • Saw him at inland invasion last year... GNR was the headliner, last band to play... took them over an hour to come out after AIC. Thought they had decided not to play. People started burning stuff on the lawn.

Saw them back on may 27th ´92 in Stuttgart. Biggest single show i was so far with 75.000 people. They pretty much rocked but nothing compared to the two bands playing in front of them. Faith No More and Soundgarden. Two amazing live bands.

Vancouver 2002, well actually Tacoma 2002. Most charasmatic performer I've ever seen. Will be back on top of the rock n roll world if he ever releases "Chinese Democracy".

I think it was '87. Gn'R opened for the Cult at Max Bell Arena in Calgary. It was one of my first real concerts, and if I remember correctly, the crowd wasn't too impressed by Gn'R. That was the one and only time I've ever seen them.
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

i think i randomly saw this video once.. and this thread works perfect with it!
  • First time was late 91 or early 92 at Target Center in Minny. I believe Soundgarden opened. The show was awesome....GNR that is.

Soundgarden was a good band, but at the time I didn't know a lot of material and almost every song sounded the same (probably because I didn't know them very well and they had the opener setup...shitty).

91 at Alpine Valley with Skid row. My first concert ever. I remember how shitty Guns sounded and how great Skid Row was.

A big IF, but yes, it could be pretty good, although I prefered their Appetite style stuff to they're UYI style stuff.
