Has anyone checked out Chris Cornell's new album, Carry On? I was unsure at first, but it gets better and better the more I listen to it. The songs are all so different and his voice is amazing, it seems to get better with time. And he's even better live! The fact that he writes all the lyrics and music, and sings all the vocals (including background) is pretty impressive too. It's is a great album that would fit in with anyone's collection, regardless of your main music taste.

It's a town full of losers and I'm pulling out of here to win
  • I never mind another Chris appreciation thread...

I LOVE Arms Around Your Love and No Such Thing. I play them incessantly. I can't wait to hear more off the new album at his Beacon Theater shows. He played a few at his Irving Plaza show, but I imagine he will play more now that the album is out.

that seems to change most peoples minds.Or go to CCs website and check out what all the people said about the near 2.5 hours they got last nite in Glasgow....It's like the new and improved Chris........I think the people who have 'expectations' of what they WANT him to sound like and aren't hearing are sadly missing out on how great the newer material actually is........

but as we've learned, music is subjective.

I love his music.........the 10th will be my 16th time seeing him live and I can't wait!!!!!!

    :)

Kinda like Audioslave, it's just ok. Definitely doesn't stack up to Euphoria Morning. I will say that his live show is solid...

What? You think it's like Audioslave? It's nothing like Audioslave! I do agree that his live show is awesome though! :)

What I meant was that it is ok much in the same way that Audioslave is just ok. You are correct...definitely does not sound like Audioslave.

I preordered mine from cdwow.ie 2 fuckin months ago.

Still no sign of the fuckin thing. Keep getting emails saying the expect the cd to be in stock shortly. Load of shite!!

Anyway, on play.com there is a cd with 2 extra tracks, as far as I know.

    "Today" and "Roads we Choose".
