it was pretty much Travis Meeks with another two guys, if I remember correctly. The rest of the original DOTN are still in Tantric, which I saw back in 07. But Travis still sounds great. He plays all of Days... hits plus some new stuff :)

Sounds pretty sweet. Are the other albums worth getting?

Part of what I loved about the first album was the whole acoustic thing? I never really could bring myself to listen to DOTN if it was electric.

I've got the first two- the 1st is damn good, the 2nd is okay- no where near as good as the first IMO. I've seen DOTN twice in the past two years and both shows were entirely acoustic

Yea, I've heard clips of the second and it just didn't capture me the same way.

But, if Travis ever came to the NYC area, I'd definitely consider hitting up a show - especially an all acoustic set.

The third album (red) is pretty much a blend of the styles on the first and second albums. I prefer it to the 2nd album. Its more song oriented and features a lot of electric and acoustic guitar work. But it also has some of the orchestration hinted at on the green album. Its definitely worth a listen.

6/17/08: Virginia Beach w/Kings of Leon: I pretty much ran from the ticket taker to the lawn because we were hearing KoL come on. I went with 2 other friends, one not a PJ or KoL fan...I danced and sang by myself on the lawn the whole (short time) that KoL played...why are they not popular in the U.S. has anyone ever heard them on the radio? Sirius? XM? I haven't heard them one time on the radio. It's sad...

6/28/08: Mansfield, Mass: INCREDIBLE all I can say
we made it there just as pj went on, we took public transportation to get to the show from Boston, paid lots of money, but made it just in time for a memorable show.
Made me sad that at the end of the show, we couldn't hitch a ride back to Boston, not one person stopped to ask if we needed a ride. I know that wouldn't happen in Virginia. I mean, there were like 20,000 PJ fans coming out of that place. I had a 10 club t shirt on, my husband was wearing a PJ shirt. Doesn't make sense.

Because of PJ I had a VERY memorable 2008~ I almost got to go to Bonnaroo. I had the tickets in my hands up until 3-4 days before the show. We just had no money for gas and food to get there. Gas was way high around that time. I don't regret not getting to go to Bonnaroo. It just wasn't meant to be. If I had gone to Roo, there would have been no Boston or Va Beach.

I really shouldn't have to say anything about that show. The band was on fire and Ed especially was running around like crazy.

7/11/08 Dark Star Orchestra NY NY
Great show on Governor's Island. First show where I had a beer and smoked a joint. my freind and his GF were tripping, fun stuff. I love hippie shows

7/19/08 311 PNC Arts Center NJ
The show itself was ok, but the crowd was terrible. Easily the worst show I've been to, but it was still fun at times.

    8/7/08 Eddie Vedder NJPAC
AMAZING show. I think it was even better than the PJ show. My 10C seats were great, it was the closest I've gotten to seeing Ed. I liked hearing him talk just as much as singing. soooo good.

I loved it, still pretty amazed I saw "The Who". Pete and Roger still tear it up. definately one of my favorite shows.
