Any Mudvayne fans out there? I was just on their myspace page and it says that their new album is dropping on August 26th!

All that I could find out about this album is this article that came out back in April:

http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00008102.html

Hard rock quartet Mudvayne is giving the final touches to their fourth album. Should everything go according to plan, the album will hit the store between October and December this year. The yet unnamed album is prepared to surprise or at least to please their fans.

Not specifically saying to have a fresh sound, the band assures that it will not be the same old stuff. "This has got some really interesting music on it, stuff you don't expect. It just kinda moves forward; it's not linear from what we've done before. But I think it's gonna be a great record," vocalist Chad Gray said in a statement.

The only thing to do for the band now is to give backing vocals to the 90 per cent finished album. "We're just listening, checking things out, reviewing stuff, making sure the performance is the right one -- the little odds and ends you do before you pack up everything and go home," Gray added.

They're not particularly groundbreaking, but I like them. This is good news.
It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.

  • release date must have been pushed back. the website is essentially blank but plays a snippet of a new song. "It's coming..." blah blah blah. No specifics.

nope, LukinFan, I've never seen them.

Agreed. Saw them in Worcester, MA before they were know. I was stunned at the show I saw. They were good.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

Sorry but I cannot tolerate gimmicky bands that sell themselves to teenage rejects. Looks like these guys stole their image from Insane Clown Posse

they haven't worn face paint since their first album, so if that's what you're going by, just give them a listen- then judge

  • The face paint was an attention-getter for sure. I remember seeing the video for "Dig" about 7 years ago and busting out laughing. But they haven't used it for a while.
