  • i am so unhappy he is not hitting anywhere in Ohio.

i have seen him 6 or 7 times and own all his DVDs and it's still not enough.

The man is brilliant. and hilarious. and it's the best spent 3 hours of my life ever.

Will we have a relayer for his shows? I like to listen to his vignettes on cd as he recites them live!
    :)

He hasn't done a spoken-word gig in L.A. for ages, even though he chooses to live here!

I LOVE that he always comes to town right around my bday...makes me feel like it's my own personal bday present from him. :D

None of my friends are into him...and many times I've gone alone.

Well, Hank always says that he hates LA...even though he lives there. LOL. God I love that man...plus he has great arms. <sighs>

Saw him in March in Montreal, and just got a ticket today to see him in Albany. His shows are really good. That guy is a workaholic though.

I was a huge fan of his spoken word in the 80s/90s.

However, he has become a bit of a hypocrite....he claims he hates L.A., but he doesn't move out, and he always drops names of other celebs that he has met.

To me, he lost his "spokesman of the underdog" status/credibility a long time ago., but I do admire him for keeping his cred in terms of being an indie publisher.

Mostly just the driving and the lackadaisical attitudes where no one has anywhere good to be or anything real to do.
    but he doesn't move out,

    Because it's warm.
and he always drops names of other celebs that he has met.

Janeane Garofalo and William Shatner hardly count as bigtime celebs.

Really? The more political he has gotten (which i dislike) the more i think he really IS speaking for us.

Talking about being in a band is well and good, but most people can't connect to that. Hating the state of the government and politics though...everyone can get that.

Fuck yeah! double disk albums for 10 bucks! books for 15!

    He rules.

Wish I could catch him. I missed him when he was near me in early 2008.

I love Henry Rollins though, one of the smartest men alive, in my opinion.

back in feb i saw him at the warsaw in brooklyn. i bought a dull roar and when the guy said $10, i did a double take. im like, "what?10 bucks... that it?" made me wish there was another of his books i could buy, that i didnt already have of course. the only thing better than a cheap book is a free book. :D
