I have no problem with that price.

I'd probably pay $750 if it were in my town.

I'd pay $450 if I had to travel.

there's a link at the top right of that page to an interview with Plant - he said its just the one date, but he also seemed pretty enthused with the whole thing so you never know. He says the band sound great, and he's really enjoying it, so why not tour?
"...though my problems are meaningless....that don't make them go away...."
  • hopefully they release a dvd of the show possibly a cd too. i doubt there will be a full tour. but would really love to see one. i imagine it would have to be all stadiums in the states because of the overwhelmingly huge amount of people that would want to be there and would probably be the most chaotic tour of all time.

  • lol, I knew they'd charge a lot, but $250? Totally not worth it to me. They were a great band, but their time has come and gone. I wouldn't even pay that much to see Pink Floyd reunited, and that show would be 1000 times better.

I swear, I gotta get into the scalping market..

Yeah, but it's the same long shot for everybody... :)

Just imagine, a few bastard touts are bound to get hold of some (unless there is a 10c style system, which would be great!).

Wonder how much they'll be lookin for??

I've got my name in the hat, I mean why wouldn't I? But I have to say I'm not over keen on the fact it's happening. Like someone said they're time has gone, and apart from that I've seen Robert a dozen times live and the band he has with him at the moment are very dynamic. The album they put out 2 years ago is awesome, and I was hoping for another, still am. I saw them 3 weeks ago and they're very special ,and Planty is still, well, Planty..and he still knocks out half a dozen Zepp numbers in his set, and it's always a pleasure to see him and his band. I fear for the reunion thing, he's always been dead against it-and for all the right reasons. But having said all that...if it's gonna happen, well I'd love to be there, so fingers crossed. juk
p.s. I heard Robert on the radio, and he swears there will be no tour. Just the one off, no tour, no bullshit, and he sounded pretty convincing. So don't get your hopes up.
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

Guess again - when the Stones played at the Astoria a few years ago, tickets went for £3000+.

    These will be more.

But if you're thinking about scalping, I think you've got better odds on winning the lottery... :D
If you all stop hitting refresh for just two minutes, I can buy my tickets...

    You could be right.
  • Well I've entered... It's worth a shot.

No! id much rather harp on the fact that their time is past.

God forbid they do a charity show to honor a man they greatly admired.

I wouldn't give a fuck if it was 500 american dollars...I'd be in. Zeppelin? Fuck yeah.
  • Well, its all going to charity. Pearl Jam's Hurricane Katrina benefit show with Plant was $1,000. Zeppelin reuniting and giving the money to charity for $250 per ticket isn't that expensive compared to that.

I just hope they release a DVD and CD of the show. I'll never be able to get to London to see them, but I'd gladly plop down $20 or so for the DVD.

From what I've read, there are currently no plans to webcast, broadcast, or record and package this performance.

Sure, bootlegs will probably surface. But wouldn't you want to see/hear this in ALL its glory? Of course you would. That's why you'd pay for it...

Ill wait for the reviews, and hopefully hear some of the tracks, before even thinking about spending a dime on a reunited Zep
  • For the Police, I paid $240, face value. For Van Halen, I'm paying $160. I would expect Zeppelin to be able to get away with charging $500 a ticket, and I'd pay it without blinking (although that is a serious dent in the wallet, no doubt)

And if Pink Floyd ever got everyone back together, I'd pay $1000 to sit on the lawn and watch them.

It's the whole supply/demand thing in its purest form. Zeppelin concerts are in short supply and high demand. Some people say $250 is too much. Others think it's a steal. I'm in the latter group.

I'd probably be trying to go if I hadn't seen them at Earl's Court in '75 when I was a wee slip of a girl. Lol. As it is, I think I'd rather keep that memory intact.

I am sure it will be professionaly recorded. If it's not it will be the first time in poplular music history that such a huge event isn't covered. Think about it

Woodstock was filmed, Beatles at Shea was filmed, THIS will be filmed.
