I have never been a great fan of them, yes i've listened their cds and i've digged some of their songs and i managed to hear at last year's Afterwords which by the way is kinda lame in my opinion.
But..here is goes..i don't have much oportunities to see much "decent" stuff in my country due to some heavy taxation that was "supposely" keeping bands and artists from visiting my country (Peru)..well good news is this taxation was eliminated..before this happened we had the luck to have Bjork around here (which was great news for me..i really like her music) and she made a great show. So..the taxation is over and we are supposed to begin having some concerts at last.
Well, the question is..will i miss something by not going to this show?

  • Saw them in 98 or 99. Very good. Absolutely nailed their songs. Singer interacted well with the crowd. The crowd its self sucked more than any show I've seen. Bunch of christians and teenagers. I guess its just how much you like their music.

I saw collective soul back in 1999. They were our Buzzfest headliners that year.

They put on a really great show I think. That was during their tour for "Dosage" and they played all the hits and the album that they concentrated on the most was the self titled disc (one of their best). You will have fun. I haven't had the opportunity to see them again (Had to work when they played with Live last year :( ). But yeah, they are a great live band.

I saw them at a festival in 2002 or 2003, they were one of the worst bands I've ever seen. The singer kept complaining about sound problems, which of course may explain how bad they were, but even if there were sound problems the singer was being an aboslute douche about it. He wouldn't drop it, between every song he mentioned it, and the songs sounded really, really bad.

I think the band is good, their debut is one of the better alt-rock albums of the 90s, they've always made great singles, and I likely caught them on a bad night, but there is no way I would ever pay money to see them live after my first experience.
  • ive seen them 4 times. . .they are one of my favorite live bands, very energetic show. . .

I've seen them 3 times - always in a small venue. I've got tickets to see them again (unplugged) next month. They don't get much love on this board (or from the critics) but I think they put on EXCELLENT shows. It's not a PJ show, but it isn't meant to be. Go see them:D!!

Their live show is laughable, saw them once for free. They played for less than an hour even as the headliner and the singer looked like a complete mongoloid trying to dance on stage. They basically just played their hits.

  • I saw them twice. They were pretty good both times. For a fair price, I say go.
