    5. Happiness is a Warm Gun - The Beatles

I dug up this thread, because i have spent the past month thinking about my answer. I actualy responded once, but on "submit" my whole computer crashed.

I quoted the above, because it made me smile to see that someone actualy picked "Wave of Mutilation (UK Surf)" as one of their top 5 ... i can't believe that will make two of us on here with that song. Small world. Also, Janes and Beatles up there.

Some really great songs in this thread, all in all.

I guess, FOR ME, all things being subjective, a "top song" ends up being something i can come back to any time of any day and find some beauty and reflection in ...

I am a HUGE fan of the "Somber Sentimental Song" ...
    THUS, without further ado:

    TOP 5

    1. What Goes On? - The Velvet Underground
    2. Wave of Mutilation (UK Surf) - The Pixies
    3. Candyman - The Grateful Dead (amazing studio version on American Beauty)
    4. All Things Must Pass - The Beatles \ Harrison
    5. My Time - Jane's Addiction
    (6) Ages of You - R.E.M (best version is on Dead Letter Office)

Well that's my "all time" "top 5" these days.
    :D
