then grab lake fever, ahead by a century, silver jets, thugs, and greasy jungle. they're in a similar vein. you might tend more to the newer stuff than their old classics given those preferences.
also, to the hip fans here, is hipeponymous worth grabbing for $40? ive gotten 2 yes's but i keep hesitating, hehe.

Uniquely Canadian alt-rock with elements of folk, blues, country, punk, and good old fashioned kick-you-in-the-nuts hard rock. In short, these guys can play anything.

bonus track = a beautiful thing or something on
encore = fiddlers green or the dire wolf
a cross between the Rolling Stones and Midnight Oil with a lead singer akin to Joe Cocker (with spastic stage antics), completely and utterly insane in his stage presence (makes Tool's lead singer appear well adjusted) ...
He interweaves random adlibs between introspective song lyrics and spot-on rhyme improv and visual chaos ...
while a Thin Lizzy-like lead guitarist (who looks like he's been beamed into this band from a 70's supergroup) wails away....their bassist looks like a bobblehead on an eternal crack high ....
the drummer winces with each drum smash treating his kit like an band of tin can barrels strewn together just for that performance..
oh ya, and their from Canada (I'm not... never been there but hope to some day)
EV intro to Chloe Dancer / Crown of Thorns
10/25/13 Hartford
good list but wait until you hear the Fully Completely CD..
it will change your music life forever...!
Its the "Sgt. Peppers" of their entire catalogue IMO...
