Could you recommend some other great (all-around great not just one hit wonders) bands that I have not listened to that are similar or that I would like based on my loving of the following bands...

In no order

-Raconteurs
-Nirvana
-Pearl Jam
-Silverchair
-Smashing Pumpkins
-The White Stripes
-Red Hot Chili Peppers
-Soundgarden
-Velvet Revolver
-Stone Temple Pilots
-O.A.R.
-AudioSlave
-Temple Of The Dog
-Wilco
-Foo Fighters
-Bush
-Alice in Chains
-Neil Young
-Kings of Leon
-Alterbridge

I general I like a lot of 90s alternative and grunge... What are some other must-listen bands that I am missing from my list... I will tell you if I already know them... I'm looking more for newer stuff (in the last 10-15 years).

my fav album is "phantom power" but the fan consensus seems to lean to "fully completely." you really can't go wrong with either i'd say.

    song-wise:
    poets
    grace too
    courage

definitely agree with that. carry the zero is one amazing song. and the version of 'stop the show' from the live album is pretty sweet.
  • Blind Melon (the real, not this new, imitation crap) ;)
    Sparta
"Oh, a flower you are to my land..."
  • Well if you're an Alter Bridge fan, I take it you are familiar with Myles Kennedy's previous band Mayfield Four? If not, their album Second Skin will slay you.

You should also check out Our Lady Peace, wicked Canadian band. Their early stuff was pretty 'grungey' like a cross between Smashing Pumpkins and STP, check it out: http://media.putfile.com/Our-Lady-Peace---Starseed

I will second Sevendust, very good band.
    Astoria 20/04/06, Leeds 25/08/06, Prague 22/09/06, Wembley 18/06/07,
    Dusseldorf 21/06/07, Manchester 17/08/09, London 18/08/09, LA 06/10/09, LA 07/10/09.

Ain't gonna be any middle anymore.
