Why can't more bands be like Marcy Playground?

Why aren't there many bands out there like them? Their sound was so irresistible.

    its a shame about that song, cuz the album was pretty good.

    I really enjoyed that album when it first came out, but after 6 months I was tired of it and didn't listen to it much after that. I think it's one of those albums that are great at the beginning, but ultimately doesn't stand the test of time...

    Probably because most bands like to stay relevant.

    I dont know how many of you gave their albums a chance, but they are all awesome. (with the exceptoin of the last one, which was better than average, but subpar for Marcy.)

    Check out some of their live stuff on youtube.

    They definitely take too long in between records, but the singer owned his own studio and liked to help other bands for awhile. They got a new one coming out though, and it sounds good from what i've heard.

    He is an awesome, creative guitar player, and even more impressive live as a three piece.
