When I first checked out Velvet Revolver... I thought they wouldn't even come close to the awesomeness of Stone Temple Pilots... but Once I got into them... they have some great tunes just like Stone Temple Pilots... and i'd say even better instrumentals... but I've never seen anything as epic as Creep or Plush come out of them so its a very hard pick. What do you think?

MY TOPIC, MY RULES! Want me to take off my belt?

ohh......i want you to do more than that.......
  • STP by a million miles. The VR records are good, but live the GnR guys are such dorks it's pretty hard to watch.
STP live was one of the best ever. And their mid to late records show a musical depth that VR will never touch.
Using the word "methinks" in your message board posts doesn't make you look smart.

BTW, the correct answer is STP
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
  • STP by a landslide......VR's live show lacks energy....and STP's live show was jaw dropping....VR just doesn't have the chemistry.

No problem! There are a few more videos from that show on youtube. It's such an incredible performance, I love how into it both the band and audience are. I saw them around the same time in London, and they were just incredible. I had never seen them before that and had no idea what they would be like live, but they totally blew me away.

Stp by a landslide. I like VR but I was disappointed with their first album. It was good but I expected more. Scott with the rest of the stp boys worked so much better :D

And def one of the best live bands i ever did see :D

STP is better in everything.. I prefer STP. There`re a lot of fans of guns and roses I think that most of them started to listen to VR because of gnr. When the band came here I realized that a lot of people wanted to listen to some hits of gnr. A few people asked for some stp songs.

Is this a joke? That's like asking what's better, Robert Plant with Led Zeppelin or with the Honeydrippers. Motherhumpin' STP man.

VR has been so disappointing. I was really excited for this project becuase I loved STP and GnR. Thought it would be a good match.

    STP all the way.
