Don't know what this means for the new PJ record but good news indeed, can't wait to hear new stuff from these guys!!!!

by the way i know I spelt O' Brien in the title wrong.

    Brooks Wackerman ? Hes so bad ass I saw them when he first joined in 03 and hes like 20 years younger then the rest of them lol

    Right the fuck on.. Have the last two Mastodon albums after seeing them live opening up for the almighty Slayer in '06 and having O'Brien producing for 'em can't be a bad thing..

    Leviathan has an extremely hard time getting outta my six disc changer in my truk, and Blood Mountain goddamn motherfuckin rules also..

    Blood Mountain is the greatest metal album iv heard in a seriosuly long time, If brendan o brien can produce some kick ass rage albums then the next mastodon album is gonna be Epic!!!!

    i loved Remission and Leviathan but did not really dig Blood Mountain for whatever reason. i think it's the lean towards clean vocals. that 3 Dog Night cover they did of "One" for the Army of Two video game was terrible. this news that Brendan is doing their new albums feels like an odd choice to me.... we'll see what happens.

    yeah, he came out during the Tool concert in Atlanta last year, he's a kick ass player
