Who is, the dude who do this. The dude who deliver dial-in diatribes duckin' mile-high piles of MCs committing suicide. A bunch of illiterate illigitimate significantly inferiority-filled fools who just fail to witness this. witness that. An MC who's not afraid to spit fact.

I like hip hop beats/turntablism, like dj krush, dj shadow etc, but not a fan of rap. Dont mind stuff like de la soul and tribe called quest, but the new 'hip hop' like 50 cent, d12 etc is a complete joke.
People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.

I heard at BBc these 2 songs:

    Example - 'You Can't Rap'
    Dizzie Rascall - 'Industry'

    Very nice!

  • I'm completely into N.W.A. after listening to Straight Outta Compton.
Other artists I'm going to look into:

    Public Enemy
    The Roots
    Jurassic 5

Any other non solo acts worth checking out? I sort of like Eminem, not enough to buy one of his album.

Actually, forgot to mention Dizzee Rascal, think he's pretty good, and also Roots Manuva.

Roots Manuva - Witness http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbuSdXKtJX4&mode=related&search= Love how he's rapping about drinking '10 pints 'o bitter' and 'cheese on toast' lol

Dizzee Rascal - just a rascal - Love this as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUa_grylsxA

I thought some of Eminem's earlier stuff was ok, but the most recent album, and the stuff he did with d12 like 'My Band' was horrendous.

  • lots of dead prez and the roots lately.
  • I just recently got Jay-Z's Unplugged album with the Roots backing him. It really shows the possibilities of live hip-hop that very few artists other than the Roots ever try to explore.

My favorite hip-hop groups in no particular order:

    Public Enemy
    Tribe
    De La Soul
    Run DMC
    Beastie Boys
    Jurassic 5
    Roots
    NWA
    Snoop Dogg
    Mos Def
    Common
    Wu Tang Clan
