Looks like this might actually be happening. Now all we need is a confirmation from 10C about the other Bonnaroo rumor and I'll be packing my camping gear for a trip to Manchester...

I don't believe it. This is where the original news came from http://www.mirror.co.uk/showbiz/2007/12/31/led-zep-for-festival-89520-20270256/

To me it looks like an attempt to promote the other band mentioned (and maybe even their website).

I call is BS, although if it's true Roo will be fuckin amazing!

I will believe it when i see the words coming out of Robert Plant's mouth, and not a minute before!

    Not happening. Trust me.
Liberace was great on the piano but he sucked on the organ.

Then there is this on pollstar:

"If there is a tour, it won't likely be next spring or summer. Sources say Plant is committed to tour with Alison Krauss, promoting their collaborative Raising Sand, between June and August. There's always an earlier time frame - but, unless the tour has been in the works for months, large arenas are already committed to sporting events or concerts."

And Robert Plant/Alison Krauss already have a few dates through late May.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that Led Zeppelin is not playing Bonnaroo this year.

    NOT PEARL JAM.

I'm just stopping that rumor before it starts, like the last 3 years that everyone has been *certain* LOL that Pearl Jam is playing it.

    Pat Green (whoever that is)
  • I'd say Dave Matthews should be back on for Bonnaroo this year.
If I could, think I would give in.
  • Bonnaroo is already crazy enough...if they add Led Zep to the lineup, it will completely out of control. That festival got way too Big Way to fast.....and the area really can't handle that big of a crowd....they need to change the setup / format or something.

Perhaps it's not just a rumor.

I know some of the acts that have been booked. It will be another great lineup. Trust me.

well they purchased the land last year and have continued to cut attendance by 10,000 since a few years back...and if zep plays things will be just fine, as it will likely not be their only show in the us

Billboard reports more Robert Plant / Alison Krauss dates for their world tour, making it complicated to schedule a Led Zeppelin tour.

Blind Melon is suppose to play Bonnaroo. I heard this from the brother in-law of one of the band members, so hopefully he isn't just f'ing with me.
