You know when you get obsessed with an album and a particular song on it?

Mine are currently:

Dax Riggs - Album "We Dream of only Blood or Love" - Song "Ghost Movement"

The Audrey's - Album "Between Last Night and Us" - Song "Come On In"

Saul Williams - Album "Saul Williams" - Song "Grippo"

What would be yours?
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

    Soulsavers - Revival
  • Having gone to see Foo Fighers in Memphis on Friday I've been up to my neck with Dave and the boys lately. Echoes Silence Patience and Grace is brilliant in my opinion and it has been in the cd player a lot lately along with The Colour and the Shape

ESPG is definitely worthy of the grammy nominations it received, but I'm not looking for it to bring more than one home....if that
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

Just got a phonecall from EMI. They're paying for me to go down to London, see the gig, go to the afterparty (with free booze) and get back the next day.
AWESOME! I'm on cloud 9 now!

I saw them open for QOTSA this summer. They put on a pretty good show and seemed to enjoy themselves on stage. Have fun.

As for music I'm currently obsessed with:
    The National - Boxer
Wintersleep - Welcome to the Night Sky and also the song Nerves Normal, Breath Normal
    everything Elliott Smith
    Grateful Dead - Europe '72
“Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you’ve got about a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies — ‘God damn it, you’ve got to be kind.’” - Kurt Vonnegut
  • My Top 10, I am not trying to be diverse, I'm not one of those types, I actually am obsessed with these songs.

*Also, for the idiots who mistake me for a girl due to my joke name and fill my inbox with sex talk, let me apologize, you are right, it is misleading as you state. You see, my wife started this account as a quasi-joke, I started gradually posting more than her without changing names. Now I almost exclusively use this and...anyway forgive me- you rejects.

    Codeine - The White Birch

    J. Tillman - Minor works.

With the latter, I am particularly obsessed with the title track, a sparse acoustic love song of such staggering sadness that I feel overwhelmed every time I listen to it.

    "This may be the last
that you hear for a long time
cause my mind just went black
when I saw what the used heal
    how the pieces feel

    And everything that
    you said that you do
I can see was time well spent
how I wish the same were true
these minor works I put you through.

If we'd gone through with it
and I caught just a fleeting glimpse,
well I'd run like a dog on the sand
    of what could have been
    of what I've been doing

    and everything that you
    said that you do
I can see was time well spent
how I wish the same were true
these minor works I put you through

I heard you wrestling for a spot
    next to Jacob and Elijah
    Reveal... reveal yourself
to me and no one else"
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"
