i know there are a lot of mmj fans on this board so i'm sure many of you have heard or already own this album. but for those of you who have not, take my advice and make the purchase. i'm sure a lot of people will think this is an outrageous statement but i'm gonna say as of right now i'm gonna call this my favorite cd of all time. it's hard to say it's 'the best album ever' cause that comes down to a matter of opinion but it should definatly be considered as one of the best. it's a shame more people don't know about these guys, because i feel like the world is really missing out on something special, but i think it's only a matter of time. anyway if you couldn't figure out from the title of the thread.......the album is called "At Dawn" and it's a must own for anybody who likes quality rock music.

At Dawn is indeed awesome. The song is one of my favorites. But The Tennesee Fire is still my fav.
Are you too good to tango with the poor poor boys?
  • If It Smashes Down is my favorite My Morning Jacket song, and another favorite is The Way That He Sings, both on this album. It is an incredible album. If someone listened to this album, and did not like it or appreciate it, I would question their musical taste.

  • I'm torn between Lowdown and X-Mas Curtain as my favorite track on this album...both incredible live.

Yeah, the rockers on this one are great, but the quiet ones are too.

I used to live in Lancaster...MMJ played the Chameleon sometime in the fall of 2004...if only I had known then what I know now!

Yeah, I missed that show, but I have the boot...the Chameleon's a decent place.
