in case any of you my morning jacket fans have no heard......jim james old band prior to my morning jacket is finally releasing their album they made back in '98. don't know much about it but i heard some of the songs that you can listen to on their myspace site. sounds pretty good. album comes out may 22nd. check it out if you can.

May 22 is the official release date for the new self-titled cd. We are having a cd release party on May 19th at the Main Street Lounge in Louisville, KY. Ear X-tacy will be there selling advanced copies of the cd. Doors open at 9:00; listening party from 11 – midnight; followed by a dance party hosted by dueling dj’s Jim James and David Givan – it’ll kind of be like dueling banjos, only without the banjos.
Wish I could be there.
