Not the usual PJ Radio songs

Almost every night before i go to sleep i lay in bed. Since i have a hard time falling asleep most nights, i turn to my clock radio. I start from one end of the dial and see if i can find some PJ. I would say 80% of the time i can fine at least one station playing a PJ song. Most of the time i will get the usual suspects : Evenflow, Alive, Black, Daughter, Small town and Hard Sun........But not last night!!

I was very surprised and pleased to find a station playing the Long Road duet from Eddie Vedder and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan from the Dead Man Walking soundtrack.

Pretty cool shit!

What Rarity have you guys ever heard on the radio?

    Never heard that one ! I've heard Angel a few times in the past. Always a treat to hear rare stuff.

    Its pretty much the standard songs from Ten, Vs, and Vitalogy now. Also Given to Fly and Wishlist. They do play Once and Why Go pretty often, which is kinda cool considering those weren't singles.

    I remember right before Vs came out, they were playing like 8 songs from the album. That was great.

    But now its pretty much Even Flow, Alive, Jeremy, Daughter, Animal, Betterman
    I am lost, I'm no guide. But I'm by your side...

    you're lucky. here in tulsa they hardly ever get played. i heard I GOT ID once, I am mine & WWS when the new albums were first released, but other than that it's even flow, alive, betterman, not for you, daughter

    K-Rock in NYC does a thing on weekends where they play the first song from the artist, then you text in the 2nd song that they'll play from that artist, and a few weekends ago someone requested Breath. That was cool.

    not on the radio, but i was in key west last month and one of the bar singers covered footsteps on acoustic guitar....actually sounded pretty good!

    Ya pretty much what New said with the other usual suspects (Yellow Ledbetter, Dissident, and Black.)

    A station I know plays a live set every thursday at noon and it feels like once a month they'll play a boot from pl. That's pretty cool to catch. Another station plays Nothing As It Seems and Do the Evolution quite frequently.

    101.9 rxp in new york seems to play a rare pearl jam radio track once every couple of days, I have heard in hiding, green disease, and army reserve

    I heard Get Right on 92.3 K-Rock in NY right after Riot Act came out. Besides that State of Love and Trust is the rarest I've heard on the radio.

    I've heard Release, Once, and Glorified G.

    Actually, I've heard Glorified G several times throughout the years, but not so much recently.

    I've only heard Once on the radio a couple times, so I'm surprised it was on the greatest hits.

    And I've heard Release just one time - a couple months ago.

    Oh, and I've heard Leash on a Sirius channel before.

    Haha! Almost every night before I go to sleep I lay in bed too. :D Sorry, that sentence just made me laugh.

    Thread intergity: I don't think I've ever heard any rare Pearl Jam songs on the radio. Unless Last Kiss counts - but it doesn't.

    K rock plays alot of PJ, but its almost always the same songs you always hear.

    A few months back they were doing a playlist thing where listeners could submit their playlist in hope that it gets played. I tried it and got my playlist to air, the guy introduced my playlist saying im a huge PJ fan. That was really cool. My playlist started with Breath and ended with Given to Fly.

    The second time I submitted my playlist, Krock actually called my house and we did a little interview. I told them "PJ is my favorite band because theyre just a real rock band" lol couldnt think of anything else to say. That playlist had I Got Shit and Hard Sun.

    the only time i hear the radio is at work and the only songs any station in new zealand plays are alive, last kiss, betterman, daughter, and even flow. thats it. cant wait to put my ipod on after work.

    Radio 104.1 in CT has played Nothingman before...that's the rarest I've come across.

    One of my radio stations plays courdory and nothingman regularly... and then the DJ will go and say they're from vs.... one of these days I'm going to set him straight. According to him, every PJ song they play is from vs... apparently it's the only album this guy knows.

    2fm played an entire concert before does that count? technically education live was the rarest iv heard on radio
