'You know my name' - any thoughts on The Cornell's latest track?

When i heard chris was doing the theme tune for the latest Bond, i was pretty surprised and not particularly looking forward to it - it elt like it would possibly becme too commercial, and considering he's following in the footsteps of Madonna, it didnt look too hopeful for me.
but i have to say i really love the track. The first time i heard it was when i went to the cinema to see Casino Royale, and i was just blown away...i even held my friends back to listen to it again in the credits...
I also heard he'll be releasing another solo album possibly early next year, and its meant to be more acoustic (?) than Euphoria Morning...what do people think?
HAving said that, what do people think about Euphoria Morning?

Oh my, they dropped the leash.
Morgan Freeman/Clint Eastwood 08' for President!
"Make our day"
You mock Audioslave for being "sissy-rock," yet you like CC's quintessential sissy-rock record, Euphoria Morning... interesting...
I'll give his solo album a listen, but my expectations are low. The guy has just been a face in the crowd since Soundgarden broke up... it's a cliche, but it's true. Euphoria Morning was average, and Audioslave is decent. So I don't expect the new album to blow me away or anything.
If you get past how different it is your opinion might match that of almost everyone who's heard the record..

...or maybe it's actually not a matter of me not "getting past how different it is"... maybe, by some crazy chance, I just don't like it that much. Who would've guessed?
i agree. i find myself loving EVERYTHING cornell has done from ultramega OK to revelations and can't wait for more from him.
Have we lost our way tonight?
Have we lost our hope to sorrow?
Feels like were all alone
Running further from what’s right
And there are no more heroes to follow
So what are we becoming?
Where did we go wrong?

Oh please. Give me a legitimate reason why Black Hole Sun sucks. "It was a radio single" isn't a legitimate reason, btw.
But Black Hole Sun is pretty much the epitome of Soundgarden's career post-Badmotorfinger. I just don't see how you can like the rest of Superunknown and still not like Black Hole Sun. It's not one of my favorites, but it is damn good.
Yeah well. To each their own. Blow Up the Outside World is actually one of my favorites.
blow up the outside world is definately my favorite song to sing at karyoke (which is vary rare and only happens between 3 to 6 beers, like my pool game)
and CC being part of it made me love it even more , i love the song... and i must admit its a grower... first time i heard it i just liked it... after one week i love it and almost listen to it everyday... great to sing along to and very nice lyrics also....
Euphoria Morning is great album wheater someone wants to admit it and i cant wait for his new solo album... till then i feed myself with his bootleg from Sweden i think, where he plays acoustic songs and sounds amazing...
