So my Holiday single came today...

And I can't get it out of my mailbox!!!!

I live in a condo, and I went to check my mail today and got all excited when I saw the single in there. I opened up the mailbox, and tried to get it out, but it just won't fit through that little door...its SO close, but I'd have to bend it to get it through. It fits through the back part where the mailman puts it in, but because of the little door on the front, it doesn't fit through that way. I talked to security, and they don't have access to that...only the mailman does.
What do I do? Any suggestions?

    Leave your mailman a note and explain the problem.

    I guess, but there's no real good place to leave the note where he'll see it. I guess I'll just put one in there and hope he sees it...then hopefully he can take it out and leave it with security or something.
    I was just so damn excited when I saw it in there...no I have to wait again...

    haha least you got yours :D ive yet to get mine! That does suck, i think a quick visit to your post office will probably get it solved. As much as the post office sucks, its probably well worth the wait in line to get your single with out bending it

    Well, I'm sure I'll figure it out, it was just so frustrating...I can touch it and everything, but there's just no way to get it out of there!
    Well now I have something to look forward to tomorrow...but I could be in for another letdown if the mailman doesn't see the note!

    Well, I'm sure I'll figure it out, it was just so frustrating...I can touch it and everything, but there's just no way to get it out of there!
    Well now I have something to look forward to tomorrow...but I could be in for another letdown if the mailman doesn't see the note!

    Well, since the envelope it was mailed in could also be making it slightly too big...you could perform an envelope-removal-operation through the door of your mailbox. :D

    Wow, I hadn't really thought of that...I guess it could be possible! It would take some real skill though, which I don't think I have...I'm nervous I would scratch it all up or something!

    did u perform emergency surgery like someone suggested? and WHERE did u leave the note? you should get red paper and shove the WHOLE paper in the boxxx to fill up the space so its DEFINITELY noticeable.

    i take it the envelope removal project was a failure then? just take a sharp knife along the edges of the envelope carefully... the vinyls in the case so you shouldnt worry about hurting it... there generally is alot of extra envelope around the album... give it a shot if you havent yet...

    Don't worry too much about damage to the single. Mine and bfs came with a curve like a banana. Good thing I don't have a turntable set up because there is no way in hell those things would play!! I have them smashed between two big books to try and straighten them out. Haha.
