Anyone have any ideas on what I could put on a Christmas CD. I don't want any of that holiday crap. It's the first week of December and I'm sick of it. I want some good rockin' tunes.

I can think of Let Me Sleep, Don't Believe in Christmas and Mistress for Christmas.
Wilco - How To Fight Loneliness
Arcade Fire - Power Out
Drive By Truckers - Lookout Mountain
Satchel - Suffering
Beck - E-Pro
Sonic Youth - Sunday
Bloc Party - Two More Years
Arcade Fire - No Cars Go
Incubus - 11 a.m
Pearl Jam - Off He Goes
The Mountain Goats - Song For Dennis Brown
Manic St Preachers - Die In The Summertime
Elliot Smith - Rose Parade
Ben Harper - Burn One Down
80's Matchbox Bassline Disaster - I Could Be An Angle
Eagles Of Death Metal - I Only Want You
Soulwax - Any Minute Now
Death From Above 1979 - Romantic Rights
Not very Christmassy but this mix is a belter.
and at the end, for an ecnore, you can swallow those pills you've been eyeing and give your family the christmas surprise of their lives
You Scumbag, you maggot...
Great song. Saw the Pogues for the first time a few months ago. Singing along to that was definately one of the highlights.

As for Father Christmas, I haven't heard it. But, I will get it.
Any others? I wanna make this a rockin' CD, not one of those horrible christmas CD's you hear nonstop.
that song at the end of showbox?
I'll definatly be aquiring that one. Also, If I'm not mistaken, Sex Pistols have a song called Punk Rock Christmas which could possibly be used to blast the hell out of the house Christmas Morning:)
nice.
Let Me Sleep - Pearl Jam
Happy X-Mas (War Is Over) - John Lennon
Mistress For Christmas - AC/DC
A Fairytale in New York - The Pogues
Father Christmas - The Kinks
Don't Believe In Christmas - Pearl Jam
Punk Rock Christmas - Sex Pistols
Merry Christmas (I Don't Want to Fight Tonight) - The Ramones
I Am Santa Claus - Bob Rivers
Please Come Home For Christmas - The Eagles
Merry Christmas, Baby - The Beach Boys
Any other ideas would greatly be appreciated!

That whole album is classic
Doesn't get any better than playing "Walking 'Round in Women's Underwear" at the office.

im partial to "baby please come home" by u2.
greatest christmas song ever though? i cant believe no one has mentioned it:
CHRISTMAS IN HOLLIS.
if you dont know who it's by, i pity you.
Came out somewhere around 1996 or so I think.
I second that.

They did a live accoustic cover of Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer once at a charity show, I have it and shall dig it out for you all if you wish.

holy shit, how did i forget this one? i LOVE this song. honestly, the flaming lips are one of the few bands i can picture sitting down and playing for my 6 year old kid. what child would not get a huge kick out of the lyrics to that song?
dont they have another one called 12/25/95 or something? i remember hearing it... merry christmas baby... i can almost sing it...
You should check out No Use For A Name's cover of "Fairytale"...also check out face to face's "Merry Christmas" I think it's on their myspace right now
Don't it make you smile?
