    good for you!
the kings are amazing, I'm so happy i'll get to catch them live in Holland along with pearl jam. :)

heard a few tracks off the new album, and i was very impressed. although it's pretty different from their last two, i love the new songs. sounds like their sound is improving with every album they make.

yes, i agree, a very different sound....more polished and worked on. The first album is quite thrashy and rock, second is mre commercial, and the latest one is....well, I cant even really explain it. Mcfearless is my favourite off the latest album.

    Go grab it people!!

  • you think the last album was "commercial"?? i'd love to hear your explanation behind that.

I didn't think AHA was commercial at all. It was a difficult cd to get into. One of my favorite cd's ever. Slow Night, So Long still kills me every time I hear it, then right into King of the Rodeo.

I bought it earlier today and will listen to it with much gusto tonight :):)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
  • Best American rock band around at the moment? Certainly the most interesting IMO.
    "I am a doughnut." (live - Berlin, Germany - 11/03/96)

"Behave like rock stars - not like the President." (live - Noblesville, IN - 8/17/98)

"Yeah, I was gonna learn to play it (Breath) but somebody slipped me a bottle of viagra and was busy doing something else six times last night" (live - New York, NY - 9/10/98)

Best young american rock band perhaps.

They really do improve by light years every album they release. Aha Shake Heartbeat was great, but Because of the Times is at least twice as good, probably even better than that.

And for once the lyrics aren't shit on most of the album! Usually you've got a few great lyrical tracks and then just bologny but BOTT is solid.
Come on pilgrim you know he loves you..

its a solid album but some songs sound alot like others i have heard before...not saying they are stealing the riffs or anything...but yeah one of the best albums i've heard in awhile...i do enjoy the U2 type sound on the first track as well

i meant Aha was more commercial than the other albums. Where im from, alot more songs were played off the second album than the first. So therefore i interpret it as being more commercial.

So shoot me. I still fucking love them.
