Oh my god, is this the track that Sebastian Bach described as "doom metal"? What a clown...
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

I'm digging the music. Lyrics do nothing for me.
I am lost, I'm no guide. But I'm by your side...

    8/25/92, 10/4/96, 10/5/96, 9/1/98, 9/4/98, 8/4/00, 8/6/00, 4/15/03, 4/16/03, 10/6/04, 6/16/08
  • The song is ok. The new guns n roses album is nothing special. This is coming from a big GNR/Axl fan. After all the years all the hype. This album is average at best. Vr was much better.

I'd take Contraband over what I've heard from Chinese Democracy. CD can join Libertad on the reject pile. :)

I feel like I'm listening to Mother Love Bone.
I pledge to you a government that will not only work well, but wisely, its ability to act tempered by prudence, and its willingness to do good, balanced by the knowledge that government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us blinds us to its great power to harm us.

I think I'm one of the few who liked Libertad better than Contraband, I think that one sucks.

I'm with you on this...I REALLY disliked Contraband, but I like Libertad.

I liked both, but I was disappointed Libertad wasn't littered with explicit lyrics like Contraband. :D
  • It's amazing how dated this album sounds already.....
'The more I studied religions the more I am convinced that man never worshipped anything but himself.' - Sir Richard Francis Burton
  • it's got a catchyness to it and it's pretty reasonably produced for something Axl was involved with. Lyrics are wanky but that's par for the course, I think he has a hard time writing a song where he isn't some kind of oppressed
Christ figure. Madagascar has the same problem too, but I love that song.

I'll admit I was a little scared of what I would hear when the video opens as 10:00+ long...
  • not bad but i won t buy it..
  • This sucks out loud...

I'm surprised it was even up for that long. There were like 5,000+ views too.

I think the combo of Slash and Izzy was just dynamite.

Having said that, I think people need to get over this whole name thing.
