The first Bungle album is good though.
Patton's best non-FNM project is Virginal Co-Ordinates with classical composer Eyvind Kang. So beautiful and different to his other stuff.
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"
They're both amazing, but Faith No More doesn't stand a chance against Mr. Bungle...
I agree that Mr. Bungle's first cd is better than anything Faith No More ever did.
The two can't be compared as they are so different.
Astoria 20/04/06, Leeds 25/08/06, Prague 22/09/06, Wembley 18/06/07,
Dusseldorf 21/06/07, Manchester 17/08/09, London 18/08/09, LA 06/10/09, LA 07/10/09.
I agree... there are way too many of these retarded "Band A" or/vs "Band B" type topics and this proves why.
I only ask because it is a friendly debate. Obviously only those that love both bands would even consider replying, plus it hooks us up with each other so we can find out the goins on.
I seriously love Mr Bungle so I asked myself would I have found this wonderful music if it weren't for my love of FNM.
I've seen Mr. Bungle twice...my choice is Mr. Bungle. I like Faith No More but I did not listen to them as much as Mr. Bungle. I like Mike Patton, I love his weirdness. I would see them again.
The first time was so out there, latex masks, Mike singing out of a Bob Barker micorphone.
2nd time, he wore a full sailor suit with a "I love boys" sticker on his keyboard.

In all fairness Angel Dust is like something else.

I like this thread
You have the talent to
Make me feel like dirt
And you, you use your
Talent to dig me under
And cover me with dirt.."
