hear they are working on a new album man oh man i cnat wiat so does that mean they arent breacking up

    Don't count on it. I think their just typical responses when asked about future plans and what the band is up to. I don't expect a new Tool album anywhere before 2010... and that's being generous! They've never been the type of band to rush a release.

    i gotta agree...it seems waaay to soon for a new tool record.

    nice another tool album! this will be their 5th in 2,000 years!

    sorry had to... if they are making a new album, im not expecting anything until ATLEAST 2010.

    Nah I've a lot of Tool interviews and also read many. Tool works in a way that they don't go into the studio until they have almost all their songs completed. They play around at home and get the basic structure, lyrics and sound down. Then they rent out their studio to conserve money and not waste studio time. So when Maynard stated they were in the studio I was quite happy. They also get a lot of their sound through live shows when they mess around in between songs or do their jams.

    I expect it to be finalized (packaged, mixed, recorded etc.) by mid-late 2009.

    2009 is possible, but when did Maynard say they were going into the studio?

    Dont think itll come a new album untill at least 2010...hope its worth the wait, 10000 days was a disappointment.
