I'm going to the show in Marysville CA September 20th, got a ticket right on the floor, the last time i saw them was in November at the Warfield in San Fran and it was incredible.

Sounds like a new Jar of Flies reissue, I guess it's been a long while since the MOV reissue? The MOV Jar of Flies / SAP reissue is amazing.  I hope this will give more people a chance to spin Jar of Flies.  That MOV reissue was earlier in the days of the vinyl resurgence.  So many more people have started playing vinyl since then.

Agreed. A reissue of JoF is great for the fans. I’m just waiting rather impatiently for the reissue of Tripod which is probably the 30th anniversary release next year.  Only one I need to complete AIC on wax.

Well the box set is up. Two color vinyl variants already sold out before I realized they were available. One is on the box set though.

Would have snagged that fly record if available. Oh well, I save 100 bucks!

Just for the tri-color vinyl but I was able to snag one.  No more clears unfortunately. And they now have black vinyl in the store.

This new trend of saying things are sold out and then adding more is irritating. Of course, it's to drive sales. They say the tri is sold out, so people buy the box set. Then the box is "sold out". I guarantee it will also go back up again.

My record collection is getting pretty robust, and yet it still takes concentrated willpower to not by a variant, of a record that I already own a fairly rare variant of (the color pressing the MOV JoF/SAP vinyl from 10ish years ago).

I also noticed they put more of last years dirt orange vinyl, which I wanted at the time, and ordered the red walmart one instead, of which I didn't really need because I have the black vinyl from the MOV reissue years ago.

Unless it's PJ, I think I'm going to tone it down on buying more variants :)

Yep. That's why I stared at the pinwheel version ordering page for a while, before deciding that I didn't really need another copy. I would have bought the disgusto fly one in a minute, though. LOL.

I started buying these variants and whatnot and now I’m unloading them. It’s complete nonsense really. I only need one version of any record, the best sounding one.
For instance, I can’t afford an OG Dirt, but I prefer the MoV Dirt over the 30th anniversary RE. The 30th is just a little too bright for me, too bright for such a dark brooding record.

I’m not picking up the RE of JoF. I think the MoV version sounds good enough until I find an OG at a yard sale for $5, like the other early AiC records. Lol

Sorry. I tried. I already have JOF/SAP, so no interest for me.

I caught it in time, and was going to order the dirt, ranier, and jof variants (of which I have other copies of all 3) but the shipping stopped me.  $70 to ship to Canada.  Then it sold out.. and I'm thinking I really need to resist variants of things I already own :)
