PJ did a cover of this live a few times. I just bought The La's - BBC In Session and it contains 2 versions of this song - both absolutely phenomenal. I mean the album version was great but the BBC session is raw and sounds amazing. One oy my favourite songs ever i reckon.
Anyone else like the La's??

been years since I heard the album but its one of my faves, I know pj played timeless melody in manchester on the 2000binaural tour. On introducing ed said: ´a great band from manchester whose name aint gallagher´ a little booing ensued and he continued: ´how are those guys anyway? there from here right? me and stone are ready to take those guys on´ they´d been slagging pj on an american tour.
their version was pretty good.
I was too young in 1990 to know how big they were then but its surprising they never followed it up.
the curly haired singer had a few hits, Walk Away being the one I remember, a proper catchy tune.
'knock me down'/'son of a gun'/'way out' and yes 'there she goes.'
take a good look
this could be the day
