I just found out that this is my favourite album of all time!
I love every song on it, not one that sometimes bothers me

This album is a quite sad one I know...
Especially "See The Sky About To Rain"...

My favourite track will be Ambulance Blues, because of the great lyrics and the sadness of the entire song...

Does anyone agrees with the greatness of this album?

My favorite Neil album too, by far. Well, not by far, but fuck....

Revolution Blues is better than any song you can list.
Are you too good to tango with the poor poor boys?

that is exactly the line that's hanging around in my head for days...

"...and there ain't nothing like a friend, who can tell you you're just pissing in the wind"

Motion Pictures is such a beautiful song, and probably my favorite on the album. I think On the Beach is Neil's best and most complete album.
It's a town full of losers and I'm pulling out of here to win

this is one of uncle neil's best. It captures the mood of what it felt like in the 70's after the hippie dream died. Ambulence Blues in particular is stunning. it captures the whole scene perfectly. Revolution Blues rocks, and Uncle Neil takes the point of view of Manson and his family, which obviously wasnt a popular thing to do

    I hear some people
    been talkin' me down,
    Bring up my name,
    pass it 'round.
    They don't mention
    happy times
    They do their thing,
    I'll do mine.

    Ooh baby,
    that's hard to change
    I can't tell them
    how to feel.
    Some get stoned,
    some get strange,
    But sooner or later
    it all gets real.

    Walk on, walk on,
    Walk on, walk on.

    I remember
    the good old days,
    Stayed up all night
    gettin' crazed.
    Then the money
    was not so good,
    But we still did
    the best we could.

    Ooh baby,
    that's hard to change
    I can't tell them
    how to feel.
    Some get stoned,
    some get strange,
    But sooner or later

I agree with both those statements.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Great album, although I personally like After the Gold Rush better.

It's amazing how every single album he puts out is so awesome, even if it gets terrible reviews.

Not my favorite Neil record, but Ambulance Blues is my favorite song from him. Just absolutely epic... reminds me a lot of Dylan's Desolation Row, in fact I often listen to them together.
The Man has a branch office in each of our brains, his corporate emblem is a white albatross, each local rep has a cover known as the Ego, and their mission in this world is Bad Shit.

    Me too.

Well, I hear that Laurel Canyon is full of famous stars,
But I hate them worse than lepers and I'll kill them in their cars.
If you all stop hitting refresh for just two minutes, I can buy my tickets...
