    love the Gits and BIT. Bikini Kill (Ms. Hannah, correct?) was good. L7...how could you not love those ladies? I liked 7 Year Bitch a bit as well.

    however, nowadays, imo, Karen O. from the YYY's is the best frontwoman in rock. i cannot say i've seen a better frontwoman live than her. she is incredible. and she adds the perfect element of sex/dark back alley meetings/innocence to the YYY's rock-art/quasi-rock opera live show.

    Not sure if Garbage could ever be classed as 'grunge' but I always loved both Garbage first 2 albums (the next 2 are decent as well) and Shirley Manson was everything I want from a female frontwoman - Smart, Sexy (but not in a Barbie way) and Funny.
