CLUTCH in Lancaster PA on Sunday

who's going????
if you've never heard or heard of Clutch... man, go FIND OUT!! i see so many similar traits between them and PJ. constant varing of setlists, touring forever, respect for fans. plus, Clutch releases a new record every year! Beale St. just came out this year and in the fall they'll be writing a new one, recording it in the fall and releasing it next spring!

C! only comes around to eastern PA three times a year!!! well, maybe twice.. but still!
And so you have.
Hoodoo Operator was played a couple of times on the last leg, as was Dragonfly. Both of those would kick ass tomorrow night. Prison Planet and Texan were both played last night (along with JWB), so they seem fair game as well. Good call on La Curandera, it was in the rotation over the spring and early summer so this may be your chance.
Here's a list of tunes that showed up over the late spring/early summer US dates:
A Shogun Named Marcus
Big News I
Big News II
Texan Book of The Dead
Escape From The Prison Planet
I Have The Body of John Wilkes Booth
Animal Farm
Elephant Riders
Ship of Gold
Soapmakers
Dragonfly
Pure Rock Fury
Red Horse Rainbow
Slow Hole To China
Oregon
Easy Breeze
Hoodoo Operator
Profits of Doom
The Mob Goes Wild
Cypress Grove
Promoter
The Regulator
Army of Bono
Swollen Goat
La Curandera
The Incomperable Mr. Flannery
Burning Beard
Mce & Gods
Pulaski Skyway
Never Be Moved
10001110101
Gravel Road
Who's Been Talking
all of Beale Street
King of Arizona
I'm hoping for any of the bold tune tomorrow, and the less Robot Hive, the better.
They tour relentlessly.
True veterans of the trade.
Clutch rocks.

Never been Moved
Muchas Veces
I Have The Body of John Wilkes Booth
the Vacant-i've seen all those other songs you listed (except for the Slow Hole songs).... every Clutch show is amazing and i'm sure this one will be no different.
only thing is i'm suppose to go see the Phillies today but the weather looks shitty. BUT on weather.com it looks like it'll be clear by 1pm. i'll be at C! no matter what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WYSIWYG would be cool to hear, but when was the last time it saw the stage? By the way, did you know Bakerton Group is going to be in West Chester? May have to check that out.
Not a lot of repeats last night as far as non-Beale Street tunes go. Dragonfly, Animal Farm, Slow Hole, Red Horse, Promoter, Cypress, Who's Been Talkling, and Curandera showed up. Non-Beale Street repeats were Elephant Riders, Mob, and Burning Beard.
they totally rock!
i prefer their bluesy stoner rock than to their really weird stuf lol!
They're playing The Station in Portland on August 30. I know this because it's the closest show to Boston and my cousin and I are making the drive.
C!!!!
Clutch rocked. JP is a monster on the drums, and Neil is such a great frontman. Eric from Five Horse Johnson sat in on a number of songs to add harp. Maybe a few too many, but it was alright. Pretty strong set, we got the first El Jeffe Speaks in over a year or so. Caught my second Oregon on top of that. The new tune, King of Arizona, rocks. Pretty similar in sound to the Beale Street material. Some nice extened jams in Soapmakers and Cypress Grove. White's Ferry kicks ass in a psuedo early Iron Maiden kind of way. The interplay between Tim Sult and Brian Hinkley on that tune is tight, guitar madness. Did I mention Oregon? Such a killer tune. They really had a wall of sound effect going on there with Brian and Eric joining the band, while Neil's vocals were drenched in echo.
The full set:
Mice & Gods
Profits of Doom
King of Arizona
You Can't Stop Progress -> Power Player
The Devil & Me
Soapmakers -> Drum Solo -> Burning Beard
Gravel Road
Oregon
Cypress Grove
The Mob Goes Wild
White's Ferry
El Jeffe Speaks -> Never Be Moved
Electric Worry -> One Eye Dollar

A Shogun Named Marcus
I'd rather see the set filled with more tunes from the Clutch, Elephant Riders, and Slow Hole To China albums than RH/E tunes.
Year Long Disaster was a very decent opener, not great but decent.
so fucking hot and sweaty in there.. and smokey. i left before Marcus.. oh well.
A will agree with Eric playing to much. I wasn't at that show, but the last time I caught them, he came in and played about 3 or 4 songs. He is a local guy here in toledo

How was Dan up there in that flannel shirt for the whole Cluch set? He had to have been dying in that heat.
I would have liked Child of The City instead of Devil & Me. I hear you on Mob getting played out. Cypress stays fresh with the jams in the middle though. Caddy is a monster live. They need to do another 2 set, evening with type tour. They have too vast of a catalog for 90 minute sets.
Yes, yes it was. It and Oregon may have been the best one-two punch of the night.
Oregon sounded a LOT better live than on record. plus, ...man, that band is so tight. JP is a monster and i was watching Dan the whole time.. that guy just grooves on bass. i would much rather see Clutch at the Silo in Reading or at the Troc in Philly. Lancaster's setup is HORRIBLE! there's no good place to see the band comfortably. the best place to be is right in front in the pit but it's like a Iraqi jail down there. i was up in the balcony but with my view i only saw half the band. oh well.
