Anyone heard them? I love 'em, and I hope they can tour the U.S. sometime.

Between last night and us has been on high rotation here for the past 12 months. One of the best albums of the year imo. I love em. :)

Yeah, y'all are lucky. Most of the cool music moved to Australia. I have to start streaming Triple J again.

pffft! Well I know for a fact that you've managed to do many things right my dear, even supposing you don't feel that way at the moment. :)

AND managing to start an International Audreys fan club is only a small thing compared to so many other amazing things you do. :)

Seriously though, I don't think I'll ever be able to thank you enough for sending me The Audreys all that time ago. And to see how the pay it forward has infected everyone else, well that makes me very happy! :)

You rock catiefractious! :) What would we do without you? :)

I've just plugged myself into When The Flood Comes for the third time this morning :o
I honestly didn't believe that music came any more beautiful than Between Last Night and Us... until I heard this. The album is absolutely gorgeous and so well written it amazes me. Taasha Coates' vocals once again didn't fail to make the hairs on the back of my neck stand to attention and the tears in my eyes well.
The narrative way in which the songs are played and sung is stunning, personal favourites being Sally and The Preacher, Closing Time and Small Things.
I absolutely adore the lyrics of The Audreys songs, and although I don't think it's better than Between Last Night and Us, (it's definately on par musically) lyrically it seems to be connecting with me more. One line in Small Things that really stood out was:

"drowning's not that bad is you breathe and just let go... breathe and just let go..."

It could be the way it's sung... I dunno... I'll stop rambling now, i'm just really excited to have this and I guess i've found my listening for the next few weeks :o
