Who wants an Afghan Whigs reunion?

I would pay serious money for an Afghan Whigs reunion summer tour. Gentleman and Black Love played straight through as first and second sets, with the encore coming from the rest of the catalog. I know, its a pipe dream, but did anyone else love the Whigs and their live shows?

Any Dulli fans on here? Love what he's doing with the Twilight Singers... seen them a dozen times... and now the Mark Lanegan collaboration as the Gutter Twins...

Anyone excited, want the reunion? Or are they not big enough for it?

    I dunno... I wouldn't want it to interfere with the Gutter Twins stuff. And I guess, like all these re-unions, I'd only wanna see it if the entire band was on board, and excited about it.

    But yeah... wouldn't mind it at all.:)

    I love Lanegan, but a lot of my friends that came to Twilight Singers shows on the last tour with me though that the lowlights of the shows were when Lanegan came out to sing.

    Do you think the Gutter Twins are going to rock or be mellow. An upper or a downer? Or a combo of both?

    I cannot see it being bad or anything less than spectacular :)

    Check out two songs on their Myspace. Methinks it shall rock buttons.:D

    Also, I saw the Twilight Singers with Lanegan in late 06, and the bits with Lanegan were the highlights for me and my friend. But then again, we worship Lanegan like some sort of golden idol.:p

    Yeah, I love Lanegan too... I am hoping they do some rocking out though... a lot of the stuff they did on the Twilight Tour was very melancholy.... which again, is not minded, BUT, I think they could turn up the monitors a bit for a few!

    I have tix for SF, will be getting for LA, and might go to Austin for a show...

    I'll honestly take ANYTHING Dulli does, the guy is a genius. It would be nice to hear a few of those Whigs songs live again though.

    I liked the Whigs, with Black Love being my favorite album, followed by Gentlemen. I never did get to see them live.

    I need to whip those old cd's out again.


    EDIT---I kind of always hoped they'd make it bigger--especially after that month in 1994 or so that MTV played the awesome "Gentleman" video non stop. But they never did take off
