I just got Both Sides of the Gun and am seeing him at Red Rocks in August. I know a few other older songs, but generally am just going b/c I've heard he's great live. What older album would you all recommend I get first?

If you want a studio album, I would definately start off with Fight for Your Mind.
If you want a wide variety of songs from his first 4 discs, pick up Live from Mars. The CD has a heavier electric disc, and a softer mellower acoustic disc. Live From Mars would also give you an idea of how he sounds live.
He is great live by the way... You won't be disappointed!Obama/Biden '08!!!0 -
Diamonds on the Inside has some great songs but is hit or miss.
Burn to Shine is pretty good.
Fight For Your Mind is real good.I've faced it, a life wasted, and I'm never going back again.
