I've just discovered Tiger Army. I didn't know what to expect in their music. It's actually very different and I actually like what I've heard so far listening to clips on their myspace page. As strange as it sounds, I compare them to a cross between the Stray Cats, Johnny Cash, and Ricky Scaggs (yes, very random indeed).

Does anyone else like this band or know much about them. It doesn't appear that they play many U.S. shows away from California and the Far West.

They're a really cool band. The bassist used to be in AFI. He plays a traditional stand-up bass, which you don't see anywhere else in punk that I know of. I saw them open for a Social Distortion a few years back, and they were great.

Oh, and your description of them is pretty good. They are kind of a punk/rock-a-billy band.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.
