Put Buffalo Tom into the category of great band that never made it big. I'm listening to "Let Me Come Over", unbelievable album and it's just a damn shame that more people haven't heard of this band. Bill Janovitz is a brilliant frontman. I saw recently that Ed joined Bill Janovitz on stage at some Boston bar and sang "Taillights Fade". Fuck that would have been cool. Somebody should have bootlegged that. Any other BT nuts here besides me?

I LOVE Buffalo Tom! I've been a big fan of them since the early 90s when I first heard Let Me Come Over, which still stands as one of my favorite rock albums of the last 20 years. Big Red Letter Day, Sleepy Eyed, and Smitten are all great albums as well. You might want to check those out if you haven't already. The latest news from their website is that they're currently working on a new studio album, and I can't wait to hear it. Almost 7 years since their last one. It's been a long wait.
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

I have their greatest hits cd and love it. Buffalo Tom are definitely under-appreciated in my book.

I've got all their albums. They are an amazing band that deserves more acclaim outside of Boston.

I am bumping this super old thread to give some love to the only band I'd choose over PJ ...

Was on a train ride last night and listened to a live set form 2005 when I was back in Boston ... always great live!

    Such a FANTASTIC band.

Still, my favorite rock song ever ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IyLKGN14nU
