I'll be grabbing the album, at least out of curiosity. I'm more excited about the reissue of Appetite though... is it going to be remastered like the songs on the greatest hits were? It badly needs it...
there are quite a few songs on there that are "better" than that. The ending isnt too bad, but the rest of the song sucks.
What? You don't like the boy-band falsetto intro/outro? You don't like the "na na na na na na na's"? You don't like the excessive guitars or emo glossy feel?
although only because i am a fan of industrial rock
i think fans of Welcome to the Jungle or November Rain are going to be scratching their heads at the heaviness of it.
Good Call
It's very industrial sounding!!
That's the first thing that struck me when I heard the album last week.
You can tell Axl has been listening to alot of Nine Inch Nails.
I personally can't stand the new music.
It'll be interesting to hear how the hardcore Guns'n'Roses fans react.
It's quite a departure from their signature sound.
This album is bound to taste like bitter milk for anyone expecting
"Appetite For Destruction part 2"
I like it. Though I agree the guitars don't really sound that great... they're really distorted but they don't have any low-end punch to them. Might just be the quality of the stream, I'm not sure. And obviously it's overproduced, but I was expecting that going in.
I liked it a little more back in 2006 when they were playing it live. Sounded more raw while still maintaining hints of industrial stuff. But oh well.
It's a town full of losers and I'm pulling out of here to win

Wasn't that part of the dissension among the group? Axl really took a liking to Trent's music back in the early to mid 90's...that's where he wanted the band to go.
Apparently, he's done just that...by any means necessary.

You youngins, these days.

The production is dated like Axl Rose's bike shorts.
The slow ballady parts just drag like snake dick, and there's just no "Crunch" to the guitars at all.
I don't get why people are jerking off to this crap...
Velvet Revolver was lame ass...
But this shit is seriously entering into Kenny Loggins Territory

Yeah...I remember hearing that too.
Axl is obviously a big fan.
