awesome! i'll be at the vancouver and gorge shows! :)
  • I want to see them in Vancouver or at the Gorge so bad. But I am already seeing PJ at the gorge both nights and the RHCP in Vancouver. I don't even really like the RHCP that much. I just promised I would go. I was nervous about it too because every time I decide to see a band I don't care about that much a band like tool announces dates to close to make it possible. I have missed Tool because of this before. I guess i will miss them again. Oh well, hopefully mars volta kick some ass. They are the only reason I agreed to go in the first place. Or maybe I will win the lottery or have a real nice friend who wants to take me along. You never know.

Fuck, I heard on the radio today that Tool was playing the Gorge, but didn't realize the 27th was a fucking Sunday.. Gonna have to see about taking that Monday off work then.. Already got Slayer and PJ in July, and if I can score some Tool (never seen 'em live before either), it's gonna be a nice summer concert season...

  • Ive seen them 3 times live my 2nd favorite band after Pearl Jam. Once at MSG in 01, at Radio City in 02 which was an awesome show such as small venue and just seeing them there was on of best concert experiences. And I saw them at the City Center in NYC last month. The last show was a bit disappointing one as they played for 2 hours there was no opening act and the acoustics at the venue was not made for a Tool show. Hope they hit NY back in the fall and do a longer show with more older stuff. But the shows they were doing were warm up shows.

    2016- MSG 2

Just saw them for the second time at Roskilde Festival and it rocked! I was sorta worried, cause they had just played a show (in Germany?) where they only played the new stuff.
But they had put together a perfect setlist, with both stuf from 10000 days, Lateralus, but also some of the good old stuff from Ænema and Undertow.
Besides the setlist and killer sound, it was a surprisingly active Maynard. He actually moved on stage (stood still the last time!) and even put on a security vest and starting checking peoples wristbands. Funny stuff.
So I strongly urge everybody to go see them! A 5/6 star show..........

I agree, with emphasis on the word sound. The most visual part of their show, when I saw them, consisted of some darkly-dressed people hanging from the rafters doing weird shit.

Their music is great, I agree, but really, I could have enjoyed it almost as much by not buying a ticket and sitting outside the gate listening to them.
