I decided to play a bunch of AIC and Soundgarden tonight. Man were they both GREAT!

Soundgarden, I forgot how incredible their stuff was, rather I didn't forget, I just guess I missed it. When Cornell's voice isn't trashed it is amazing

Overfloater....love this tune

tighter and tighter

Like Suicide

hands all over

Loud Love

Boot Camp just shake my head with how awesome this song is

of course Outshined, Fell On Black Days, My Wave,
man so many awesome songs.....

looking California, feeling Minnesota

So many great AIC and Soundgarden tunes.

No Attention - love the music
Let Me Drown - speaks for itself

I could go on and on...
Is it so wrong to think that love can keep us safe?

I agree. I really miss looking forward to their albums. Just miss them period. :)

  • Yes truly awesome, powerful band!!! Some of my fav are Ugly Truth. Flower, Gun, Searching with my good eye closed, New Damage, Superunknown, Mailman, Ty Cobb, Tighter abd Tighter, Girl U Want(devo cover), Into the Void(Sabbath cover) and on and on and on..... I miss these guys
  • I always imagine Kim buried under several pizza boxes, don't no why.........such a waste. There also probably one of the few big bands to never release any DVD stuff.
  • Little Joe, run for the border
    Leave your mother and father
Go to where the reptiles roam
They're waiting for you, Little Joe

I love the timing in this song.

badmotorfinger, superunknown, and down on the upside obviously. DOTU is not a traditional SG album but it's ace.

I hope you never forget this again. :D

SOUNDGARDEN is/was/and always will be one of the greatest bands (major understatement) EVER imo.
    Truly unique and untouchable.

PJ & SG = my heart & soul.
    :o

Everyone should listen to more SOUNDGARDEN. :)

Hard to imagine that those guys couldn't just record and release albums without touring. They have a huge fanbase, and could probably circumvent the entire major label machine if they wanted to.

I just think that they had a lot more music in them as a band. They were a long way from being irrelevant or becoming a parody of themselves. I understand the whole going out on top thing, but they were just hitting their stride.

Then again...who knows. Maybe they never intended to be a band as long as they were in the first place?

Nah, there's no such thing as a 'traditional' Soundgarden album. They're all completely different from one another.
It's a town full of losers and I'm pulling out of here to win
  • yeah, i agree. from ultramega ok to DOTU, i can't pick one fav. love them all. louder than love may be the best recording of cornell's voice ever.
bombs, dropping down, please forgive our hometown
  • Yeah, I'd almost forgotten too. This clip pretty much confirms it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_UM9tmc5rU

This is Jesus Christ Pose, live in 1992, when Soundgarden were opening for Guns N Roses. What a show that would have been!
I've got to admit, it's getting better.

They're fantastic, although to be honest they're first few albums don't do it for me (but Beyond the Wheel...wow!). But Badmotorfinger, Superunknown and Down on the Upside are just amazing.
