I just started listening to Wilco. I love a couple of their songs and wondered what some of your favorites of theirs are. I really like Handshake Drugs

This is a strange choice, but at the moment I want to go with "Shouldn't Be Ashamed."

It's not as graceful or sophisticated as anything from the more popular albums, but for whatever reason I simply love listening that one. I honestly can't name one definitive favorite Wilco song, so I'll go with an underdog.;)

I really love "Pick Up the Change," "Should've Been In Love" and "Too Far Apart" as well, now that I think about it. A.M. deserves more attention that it normally receives.

    A few of my faves:

I'm the man who loves you
    Handshake drugs
Via Chicago (especially after seeing and hearing it live)
    Heavy Metal Drummer
    Either way
    Casino queen
    Jesus etc
    You are my face
those are all great songs and probably the ones that got me into Wilco.
I think I like their yankee hotel foxtrot album the best.

Too hard to pick only one song, but my wife's favorite is Hummingbird.

I could narrow it down to one from each album:

    The Late Greats
    Nothing'severgonnastandinmyway (Again)
I Got You (At the End of the Century)
    Casino Queen
    Hate It Here
I'm the Man Who Loves You

But I'm still not sure that is sufficient.

This song is incredible live! The part where Glen goes wild on the drums right over Tweedy's singing is so powerful. You feel like you're in a thunderstorm or war zone or something.

I might have to go with Via Chicago, Theologians, Hummingbird, Jesus Etc..., You are My Face, and many many more I can't think of now.

I hope you get this message but your not home...I will be there in just a minute or so...
I want to go but I want to go with you.

    Hummingbird.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

  • Gotta agree with Misunderstood with IATTBYH being a very close second.
