I have downloaded a number of songs with EV singing duets with Ben Harper and some of EV covering Ben's songs. I had never heard any of Ben's music, but would now like to purchase some of Ben's music. Can anyone give me some suggestions to start my collection.
You can spend your time alone, re-digesting past regrets, oh
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who cannot forgive yourself, oh
Makes much more sense, to live in the present tense

I think most people will tell you Fight For Your Mind is his best album, and it is great. It's mostly acoustic, but Ground on Down is one of his most rocking songs. His Live album, Live From Mars, gives a pretty good overview of his career. His most recent album, Both Sides of the Gun is great as well. Very funky and rocking on the first disc. I also really like his album with the Blind Boys of Alabama, There Will Be a Light.
P.S. I think all his albums are worth owning, this was just to give you an idea where to start.0 -
Personally, I like Burn to Shine."What happens when so many people agree on something? Can we take this beyond the parking lot when we leave tonight?" -EV, Iconoclasts0
