Whats your 2nd favorite band out of the seattle 4?(nirvana/alice in chains/soundgarden) and if you've got time please say why

Mine would have to be soundgarden. Without them i doubt we'd have Matt Cameron here and i cant help but love Kim Thayil and his strange charisma if you will, and Chris Cornell is about the only singer that tops Eddy vedder in my opinion. Just listen to Beyond the wheel or jesus christ pose.

    Tied between AIC and Soundgarden.

Much prefer the rockier sound of Soundgarden and I fell in love with Layne's voice.

Nirvana, I like, but no more so than lots of bands whose CD's I own.

After Pearl Jam, my second favorite Seattle band is Nirvana. Cobain created some beautiful songs with haunting lyrics, and that always seemed to get me into their music.

As of late though, I have been listening to a lot of Mudhoney and they are climbing my list of all-time favorite bands too.

Out of those 4? Probably Nirvana or AIC.... Soundgarden (more specifically Cornell's voice) has never done anything for me.

Alice are actually interchangeable with PJ for first place with me. I love Layne beyond words.
