oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

This could be fun. I'm going on when the bands started, not just when they were popular. And no jazz. That would make this impossible.

    60s: Beatles, Kinks, Pink Floyd
70s: Rush, The Police, The Clash
    80s: GnR, Jane's Addiction, Phish
90s: PJ, Smashing Pumpkins, Screaming Trees

I can't think of 3 bands from the past 6 years.

Man, this leaves off Nick Drake, Zep, Talking Heads, Pond, Nirvana, Pixies, Beastie Boys, AIC, The Who, Metallica, Primus. Good lord.

    70s zeppelin
80s let's forget about this decade....
    90s AIC/PJ
00 TOOL (since lateralus came out in 01 and that changed my life)
..and you will come to find that we are all one mind, capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable

60s - Hendrix, The Doors, The Beatles
70s - Led Zeppelin, The Who, Black Sabbath
80s - Guns N Roses, Mother Love Bone, Mudhoney
90s - Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden
00s - Pearl Jam, White Stripes, Audioslave

It may be cheating to PJ for both 90s and 00s, but other than Mudhoney, I honestly can't think of any bands outside of the three I've listed that I like for the 00s. And I hate leaving off Alice In Chains, Mudhoney, and Ben Folds Five for the 90s.

80s: u2, the cure, the pixies
90s: pearl jam, built to spill, oasis
