I have been enjoying reading the posts for best guitar riff openings I figured I try fav´s drum riff opening.

Rock n Roll- Zeplin
Scentless Apprentice-Nirvana
Van Halens Hot For Teacher stands out in my mind

    Good call.

    I always like Where Eagles Dare from Iron Maiden. Great opening for the song and album. It is also a great announcement for the arrival of the new drummer (at the time!), Nicko...

    The OP named two of my faves...Hot for Teacher and Rock'N'Roll.

    Hard to handle is another one I like....I am having trouble thinking but those three def qualify
    All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

    They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all
